MS Batwing Fairing

Need help with your 1300? Just want to talk about how much you love the hammering of that single-pin crank? This is the place.

MS Batwing Fairing

Postby Ken » Wed Feb 10, 2010 4:00 pm

Just got my fairing today was hoping to be able to use the mounts from my MS fats... No luck. With 8 inches of new snow on the ground I guess I can wait... More money. hahaha What is the best way to pick a windshield size? I didn't order the windshield due to wanting to get the fairing on the bike and sit behind it. Is this the best idea or is there a better way. Ken

I have been thinking about a Batwing, keep us posted as to its installation, and let us know which windscreen you use.

Alright, the fairing is complete and ready to go. The MS Fats bracket didn't work. I went with a 7 inch windshield can't wait to get out on the road. Did someone say snow and cold Monday.... Uhgggg

From one capac kid to another I left the cape on this sheep off Foley Rd. (hahaha) Still have no idea how to post a pic on here. Next time I head up that way I'll have to let you know. We can go out to Foley and see if we can find that cape...... No really I love riding up there. My folks still live there.

I installed a MS batwing last fall started with the 5" all black wind sheild rode for a weekend from 45 mph and up the wind buffted my head so bad it made my eyes rattle could not even focus. Moved up to the 9" with black bottom now wind just hits top of helmet I am 5' 11". What a pleasure to ride behind I have rode with out a sheild for 35 years and I finally wised up.

I ended up getting 7" windshield with the MS batwing over the winter. I have been riding the last week. I noticed I catch alot more wind in my face not to mention that fine sandblasted feeling. I used to have a 19 memphis shades fats needless to say no wind got past that. Even though I'm catching all that wind it's still not a bad ride.(vibrations not that bad) Might change my mind on a long run well see. So far love the fairing.
