L&R Extreme Forwards

Need help with your 1800? Upset that they don't make them anymore (don't worry, that means it's a collector's item)? This is the place.

L&R Extreme Forwards

Postby Moody » Thu Nov 19, 2009 2:11 pm

Hey, gang. I'm rather new to the forum but have a question.

Has anyone in the SE Michigan area done the L&R Extreme Forwards mod to their 1800? I'm considering several options during the winter to give me more of a stretch (I'm 6'2") and, while I've considered Accutronix and Supreme Legend, they're expensive,. The L&R are half the price, however, the problem is that with the L&R you have to cut the stock bracket so if I don't like 'em I'm screwed.

I'm wondering if anyone that has the L&R mod would be willing to let me do a "test sit/stretch" so I know how they feel before I buy/cut?

Thanks, and take care.

Moddy, I have the "little boy 1300" so I can't help you but maybe someone in our group can...welcome and come to the December meeting...you may want to post on national board.

Thanks, Mike. I may just post it on the national site. And the 1300 isn't THAT little, my friend. Just a few years ago I remember the 1500s being the "big bikes". LOLOL Of course, at 6'2" and 240 lbs., riding 2-up, and pulling a trailer, I thought I'd need the 1800.

I have the L&R's and really like them, Especially for the price. They are easy to install, look great and give that extra little bit of stretch that keeps my hips from getting sore on long rides. I did mine when I put on the big shots. having the ipes out od the way sure helped.
